Haptoglobin genotyping of Vietnamese: Global distribution of HPdel, complete deletion allele of the HP gene

Title:  Haptoglobin genotyping of Vietnamese: Global distribution of HPdel, complete deletion allele of the HP gene Authors:  Soejima, Mikiko Agusa, Tetsuro Iwata, Hisato Keywords:  Gene deletion;Geographic distribution;;Ancestry informative marker;Anaphylaxis Issue Date:  2015 Publisher:  ELSEVIER IRELAND LTD, ELSEVIER HOUSE, BROOKVALE PLAZA, EAST PARK SHANNON, CO, CLARE, 00000, IRELAND Citation:  ISIKNOWLEDGE Abstract:  The haptoglobin (HP) gene deletion allele (HPdel) is responsible for anhaptoglobinemia and a genetic risk factor for anaphylaxis reaction after transfusion due to production of the anti-HP antibody. The distribution of this allele has been explored by several groups including ours. Here, we studied the frequency of HPdel in addition to the distribution of common HP genotypes in 293 Vietnamese. The HPdel was encountered with the frequency of 0.020. The present result suggested that this deletion allele is restricted to East and Southeast Asians. Thus, t

Research on free vibration frequency characteristics of rotating functionally graded material truncated conical shells with eccentric functionally graded material stringer and ring stiffeners

Title:  Research on free vibration frequency characteristics of rotating functionally graded material truncated conical shells with eccentric functionally graded material stringer and ring stiffeners Authors:  Dung, D.V. Thiem, H.T. Keywords:  FGM stiffener;Free vibration;Frequency characteristics;Functionally graded material (FGM);Rotating truncated conical shell Issue Date:  2016 Publisher:  Brazilian Association of Computational Mechanics Citation:  Scopus Abstract:  In this research work, an exact analytical solution for frequency characteristics of the free vibration of rotating functionally graded material (FGM) truncated conical shells reinforced by eccentric FGM stringers and rings has been investigated by the displacement function method. Material properties of shell and stiffeners are assumed to be graded in the thickness direction according to a simple power law distribution. The change of spacing between stringers is considered. Using the Donnell shell the
